The Norwegian Cruise Line’s (NCL) Norwegian Prima was christened in August 2022, making it the first of six ships in the Prima class. The ship was built in Marghera, Italy by Fincantieri and is 965 feet long, with 20 decks and a capacity of 3,100 guests. It features 1,600 staterooms, 18 dining venues, and 17 bars and lounges.
All of Norwegian Prima’s headlining acts, including Summer: The Donna Summer Musical and Noise Boys, take center stage in the groundbreaking transformational Prima Theater and Nightclub. The three-story venue, designed to seamlessly convert the space from a state-of-the art performance stage to expansive dance floor and nighclub, will feature a customizable seating layout and moving LED screen that lowers from the ceiling and is nearly half the size of the venue.
Along with Broadway-quality performances, the space also plays host to interactive, real-life game shows like The Price is Right, Supermarket Sweep, Press Your Luck, and Beat the Clock. Powered by Fremantle Media, the shows allow the audience to be part of the performance.
The extravagant high-energy nightclub’s Sensoria theme provides club-goers an out-of-body experience where they can dance late into the night and enjoy a kaleidoscope of high-energy music and innovative special effects. An automated, three-ring, 60-ton chandelier lights up the dance floor with a rainbow of lights.
